In the quaint Irish village of Ballinspittle, a small roadside grotto has been the site of a most intriguing paranormal phenomenon. It's here that the statue of the Virgin Mary has been observed rocking on its heels, a movement that has been witnessed by numerous people since 1985. The initial sighting was made by Cathy O'Mahony and her mother, who were so moved by the experience that they returned the following night with friends, all of whom also witnessed the statue's unusual movement. Word of the 'Rocking Virgin Mary' spread quickly, and it wasn't long before tens of thousands of people were visiting the shrine in the hope of catching a glimpse of this unexplained event.
