Bostock Road, Winsford

On a dark evening in November 2010, a cyclist was making his way home along Bostock Road in Winsford, Cheshire, when he spotted something strange. As he cycled, he noticed a man drifting along the road, wearing a heavy long coat and a hat that reminded him of a cowboy's. The figure's legs weren't visible, which added to the surreal nature of the encounter. The cyclist watched the figure for around ten seconds before making eye contact, at which point the apparition vanished into thin air. This brief but intense experience left the witness with more questions than answers about the identity and purpose of the mysterious man in the overcoat.

Road to Winsford, Church Minshull

On a dark winter's night, 15 December 2004, to be precise, two people driving along the road to Winsford in Church Minshull, Cheshire, were startled by a ghostly apparition. The figure of a woman wearing a red scarf appeared, her face pale and gaunt with sunken black eyes that seemed to stare right through them. Her clothing looked like it belonged to the 1960s or 1970s. The witnesses reported that the ghostly figure was motionless, and when they drove past the spot again the following day, the whole area seemed transformed.

Widnes Road, Cuerdley

Widnes Road in Cuerdley, Cheshire, is a seemingly ordinary stretch of highway, but it's been the site of a baffling paranormal incident. A driver, travelling back from Liverpool in the early 2000s, reported being startled by a pair of bright headlights rapidly approaching from behind. The lights were so intense that the driver expected to be overtaken, but in an instant, they vanished into thin air. Assuming a car had crashed, the driver turned around to investigate, but there was no sign of an accident or any vehicle.

On a typical evening in March 1978, a driver travelling along Drayton Road in Warrington, Cheshire, pulled over to witness a bizarre sighting. A two metre tall creature, clad in silver, moved along the embankment by the side of the road, its large eyes emitting thin beams of light. The encounter was brief but left a lasting impression on the witness, who later discovered that almost an hour had passed without their knowledge. The driver, understandably spooked, quickly drove on, only to catch another glimpse of the same woman two hundred yards further down the road. That was enough to make the driver avoid using that road again.
