A creature described as turtle-like was spotted approximately 27.5 metres off the shore. It had large front flippers, small back flippers, and a shell, but what made it truly unusual was its small head on a thin, two-foot long neck. The creature's presence was so alarming that it was said fish beached themselves to escape its notice.
