Michelham Priory, Hailsham

Michelham Priory has witnessed its fair share of paranormal activity over the years, but one of the most intriguing sightings is that of a man dressed in a cloak. In 1969, a couple of witnesses reported seeing this mysterious figure float into a room, hotly pursued by a woman in Tudor clothing. The image of the cloaked man is particularly striking, and it's unclear whether the female spirit chasing him is connected to another reported ghost, the woman in grey, often seen with a small brown dog in other areas of the estate.

Near Windgate House, Coulter

Imagine walking home on a dark night, the only sound being the crunch of gravel beneath your feet. That's what a farmer did, not so long ago, near Windgate House in Coulter. As he strolled along, he spotted a man and woman dressed in Victorian attire. They seemed out of place, but he politely wished them a good evening. The couple vanished into thin air, leaving the farmer shaken. The next morning, he noticed something strange - his hair had turned completely white overnight.

Skies above the East End, Glasgow

On a chilly winter evening in 2011, residents of Glasgow's East End were treated to a bizarre spectacle. A bright orange light was seen moving slowly below the cloud line, its vibrant colour standing out against the drab January sky. The witness who reported the incident described the light as moving steadily, almost languidly, before a massive roar pierced the air, reminiscent of fighter planes. The sound seemed to be heading straight for the light, which then shot upwards, disappearing into the clouds with incredible speed. The sudden change in velocity was as startling as it was brief, leaving the witness in awe of what they had just seen.

Glenlee House, Glenlee

Glenlee House has a dark history that's said to be relived by its ghostly inhabitants. Lady Ashburton, a former occupant, was known to have brutally murdered her husband within these very walls. Her violent act was eventually avenged when a servant, driven by greed, took her life while robbing the house. People claim to have seen Lady Ashburton's apparition, as well as another figure believed to be her husband, roaming the halls of Glenlee House.

Unknown house, Kinghorn

In the quaint town of Kinghorn, nestled in Scotland's Lowlands, a rather unusual haunting took place at an unnamed house. The spirit, who apparently resided there, made a curious announcement to the inhabitants. It told them it was going on a seven-year break, or 'rest' as it put it. One can't help but wonder what prompted this ghostly soul to take an extended vacation, or indeed, whether it ever returned to its former haunt.

Carnsalloch House, Kirkmahoe

Carnsalloch House in Kirkmahoe has quite the reputation. This Lowlands country house has been dubbed one of Scotland's most haunted buildings by the media. It's said to be home to a ghostly pink lady, and a headless horseman who likes to make an appearance on the driveway. The house has seen its fair share of drama, including a major fire in 2018 that caused significant damage. Despite this, the site remains a hotspot for paranormal activity.
