Romford Brewery Site has a reputation for being one of the most haunted locations in Essex. On a typical day in January 2011, a woman was moving stock around the site when she stumbled upon a rather unusual sight. Sitting on a large trolley was a man dressed in black, wearing a flat cap. The woman was so startled that she ran off to find a colleague, but by the time she returned, the mysterious figure had vanished into thin air.

Interestingly, this wasnt the first time strange occurrences had been reported at the site. Rumours have been circulating that a man lost his life in an accident when the site was an operating brewery. Other people have also reported seeing shadows around the area, adding to the speculation that the site may be haunted.
