Hitchin Priory, a historic house in Hertfordshire, has been the site of numerous paranormal sightings throughout its history. Visitors and staff have reported seeing an undefined, misty figure, as well as a Cavalier named Goring, who is said to appear on June 15th. According to legend, Goring was visiting his lover when he was discovered by Roundheads and executed. Some accounts claim that he is headless and that his phantom has been seen riding a horse from nearby High Down House. In addition to these sightings, people have heard voices, seen monk-like figures, and even spotted card players from another era.

Sun Hotel, Hitchin

The Sun Hotel in Hitchin has a long history of paranormal activity. Located on Sun Street, this historic hotel has been the site of numerous ghost sightings over the years. Guests have reported hearing strange voices outside their windows and experiencing inexplicable movements within the building. Located on the Willian Road in Letchworth Garden City, this historic inn is said to be haunted by a ghostly lady who has been seen walking along the corridors. In one reported incident, she even walked straight through the landlady. It's not just visual sightings that have been reported - poltergeist-like behaviour has also been experienced, with beermats being piled up and lightbulbs flying out of the chandelier.
