The area around Datchworth station in Hertfordshire is said to be haunted by the ghost of a highwayman named Clibbon. He was found guilty of highway robbery and met a gruesome end, being tied to the back of a horse and dragged through the town until he was dead. Locals claim that his blood-curdling screams can still be heard echoing through the streets. The same area is also reportedly home to a headless horse, although it's unclear if it's connected to Clibbon's ghost.
