Chilham Barrow Dog Shuck
Pilgrim's Way, Chilham
Pilgrim's Way in Chilham, Kent, is a spot where the ordinary and the paranormal seem to intersect. It's here, opposite the Woolpack Inn, that a rather unusual sighting took place back in January 1947. A large black creature, described as bounding towards a barrow, was seen by a witness, who must have been quite startled as the creature promptly disappeared into thin air. This location has a history of strange occurrences, and the appearance of this creature, known as the Barrow Dog, has become a fascinating footnote in local folklore.
