Whitstable Wine Bar Haunting
Deco 5 wine bar on Oxford Street in Whitstable has been at the centre of a bizarre haunting. Builders working on the site in March 2009 reported hearing footsteps crossing an upper story floor that had recently been removed. It was as if someone was walking around upstairs, but there was no one there. The strange occurrences didn't stop there - doors were also heard banging shut on their own, and an electrician working on the site had his lamp thrown through the air, forcing him to leave.
Situated in the heart of Whitstable, Deco 5 wine bar has a relatively modern history, but the town itself has a rich heritage dating back to the medieval period. While there's no clear connection between the haunting and any specific historical event or former occupant, the fact that multiple witnesses reported similar experiences lends credibility to the claims. The variety of strange occurrences, from unexplained footsteps to objects moving on their own, suggests that this could be a case of a mischievous poltergeist or a restless spirit.
The site was previously a commercial building, now converted into a wine bar.

The sound of large dogs followed, but it wasn't long before the noise faded away, and the motorcyclist was able to push their bike and manage a bump start.
