In 1998, a driver was travelling along this stretch of road around 23:00h when he spotted a young man in his twenties standing in the road. The driver slammed on his brakes, and the young man jumped to the side, landing in a ditch. Concerned for the man's safety, the driver stopped to check on him, but he was nowhere to be seen. A thorough search up and down the side of the road yielded nothing. It's as if the young man vanished into thin air.
