Theatre Royal, E15

Theatre Royal in London's E15 is home to a rather charming ghost. Freddy Fredericks, the theatre's builder, is said to look after the building from beyond the grave. He's often spotted walking around at midnight, a small, tubby man dressed in brown, radiating friendliness. His presence is so well-documented that he's even been caught on camera at least once. It's said that as long as his initials remain painted on an archway, the theatre will continue to stand.

Aldersbrook Road, E11

On Aldersbrook Road in London, a rather unsettling encounter took place back in 1993. A car was making its way down the road when suddenly, an Asian woman ran out in front of it. The two occupants who witnessed her were understandably shocked, screaming as they thought she would be hit, but miraculously, no impact occurred. What's particularly intriguing about this sighting is that the woman was only visible to two out of the four people in the car, adding to the mystique of this paranormal event. Her face was said to be contorted with fear and regret, a haunting image that surely left a lasting impression on those who saw her.

Magistrates Court, E1

The Magistrates Court on Aylward Street in London's East End is said to be haunted by the ghost of Lillian Brown, a former employee who still walks the corridors where she worked back in the 1970s. It's a curious case, really - no one seems to know much about Mrs Brown's life or what she did at the court, but her presence has been felt by many over the years. Some say she's a benign spirit, just going about her business as if she's still alive.

Manor Park in London's East End is home to a rather unsettling urban legend. They say One Eyed Jack roams the empty properties here, accompanied by a large, scruffy dog. His name is a giveaway - Jack's missing an eye. According to the story, he uses his dog to intimidate people, then takes their eyes for himself. It's a chilling tale that has been doing the rounds in local folklore for years.

Beacontree Road, E11

Beacontree Road in London's E11 area is home to a rather unsettling haunting. The ghostly presence of an old lady, known as Mrs Ryan, has been reported to frequent a property along this road. According to accounts, she would often visit the room where her family used to keep her locked up. It's said that she wasn't a malevolent spirit, but rather a sorrowful one. However, another presence was also felt in the house, a more dominating male spirit that would materialise during the night and stand over the beds of any females present.

Pret A Manger, E2

Pret A Manger on Bethnal Green Road has been at the centre of a bizarre haunting. In autumn 2022, two workers reported hearing soft footsteps walking across the floor above, but when they checked the CCTV, there was no one there. It's as if the sound of footsteps was somehow disconnected from a physical presence. The staff were understandably spooked and even attempted to use a Ouija board to contact the entity, but without much success.
