Ghostly Figure in Ruff
Tantallon Castle, North Berwick
Tantallon Castle stands proudly on the outskirts of North Berwick, its imposing structure a testament to centuries of history. It's here that a rather intriguing ghostly apparition has been captured on camera. In May 2008, paranormal researcher Richard Wiseman released a photograph purporting to show a ghostly man wearing a ruff, a style of collar popular in the 16th century. This image was followed by another, taken thirty years prior, showing a similar ghostly figure. The release of these images in March 2009 sparked widespread interest in the haunting.
