The John H Strachey Public House in Briston, Norfolk, is home to a rather intriguing ghostly presence. It's said that an old man's spirit roams the landing, making its presence known by the sound of footsteps and, rather curiously, the creaking of the bar door as it swings open. The eerie impression is that of a phantom patron, perhaps one who's been drawn to the pub's warm atmosphere for a drink or two, long after the living have gone home.

Brooke Manor House in Norfolk is said to be haunted by the ghost of a woman named Claudia. This phantom is rumoured to radiate extreme beauty, but her appearance is marred by the fact that she's missing a hand. According to legend, her husband accidentally severed her hand during a duel. It's said that Claudia still roams the halls of Brooke Manor, a tragic figure frozen in time.

In the quaint Norfolk village of Brooke, a rather intriguing haunting has been reported at an old house that was once two cottages but has since been converted into one. The ghostly apparition seen here is that of an old woman dressed in a long green dress with white hair. She has been spotted sitting in the living room, and it's believed she might have been one of the former teachers from the local school. The atmosphere in this house seems to be steeped in history, and it's easy to imagine the old woman going about her daily routine, perhaps even preparing lessons for her students.

Road South of Great Snoring, Great Snoring

In the sleepy Norfolk countryside, a phantom white dog has been terrorising travellers on a rural road south of Great Snoring. The story begins in the late 1930s, just before the Second World War, when a farmer claimed to have driven straight through the ghostly creature. He was so shocked that he stopped his car and ran. This wasnt an isolated incident - many cyclists in the area had also reported encountering the phantom dog.

South off the B1436, Thorpe Market

Deep in Norfolk's countryside, near the sleepy village of Thorpe Market, a bizarre incident took place on a winter's evening. On 13 January 2012, a solitary witness was driving south off the B1436 when they spotted something extraordinary in the sky. A disc-like craft, with two lights resembling windows and a small red light at the rear, hovered momentarily before vanishing in a flash of white light. This fleeting glimpse of the unexplainable has become known as the Thorpe Market UFO sighting.
