Unnamed farmhouse in the area, Newcastle

In a small, unnamed farmhouse on the outskirts of Newcastle, a rather eerie presence was said to make its home. This was no ordinary haunting, but one that seemed to centre around a well that was once part of the farm's infrastructure. The entity, which became known as the Well Riser, was reportedly seen emerging from the depths of the well, a sight that must have been both startling and unnerving for those who witnessed it. Although the well was eventually covered over, it's unclear whether this action put an end to the sightings.

In the sleepy village of Pencoed, nestled in the Welsh countryside, a peculiar sighting has been reported for over a century. Around midnight, a young lad on horseback would silently gallop through the village, his presence announced only by the sound of hooves on the ground, or rather, the lack thereof. The lad, described as resembling a farmer's son, would ride his horse with an unnerving silence, leaving onlookers with an indelible impression of a fleeting, ghostly apparition.

Lanes in the area, Ystradgynlais

In the charming Welsh town of Ystradgynlais, a peculiar ghostly apparition has been spotted roaming the lanes. An innkeeper's son would frequently encounter a well-dressed woman, and one day he mustered the courage to speak to her. She made a rather unusual request, asking him to travel to Philadelphia in Pennsylvania to retrieve a box of money from a house. When he expressed his inability to make the journey, she whisked him into the air and took him to the Philadelphian house. After recovering the box, the man was then taken to the Dead Sea where he cast the box into the water, before finally being returned home.

Beach, Cold Knap

Cold Knap Beach, a stretch of pebbles and sand in Barry, Wales, is home to a rather unsettling legend. In February 1997, a witness sitting on the beach with their two dogs spotted a black dog moving silently across the shore, about fifty metres away. What caught their attention was how smoothly the dog glided over the rocky terrain, as if it were floating. Their own dogs, strangely, seemed completely unaware of the presence. The witness watched in curiosity as the black dog vanished into thin air. This wasnt a one-off encounter either; sixteen years later, the same witness reported another bizarre experience on the same beach.

Broad Bay area, Isle of Lewis

Broad Bay on the Isle of Lewis was the unlikely playground for a mysterious sea creature back in February 1830. For a couple of weeks, a serpent-like beast measuring between 18 and 24 metres in length was spotted playing in the waters. Described as having a mane similar to a horse's and appearing white in colour, this creature was an astonishing sight for locals and visitors alike. Its presence brought excitement and curiosity to the area, with many trying to catch a glimpse of the elusive creature.
