Milford Junction on the A3 in Surrey is a spot where a rather unusual ghostly encounter took place on 6 November 2010. An off-duty police officer was driving home around 20:00h when he was startled by a motorbike coming towards him on the wrong side of the road. He had to brake and swerve to avoid a collision. As he stopped, he checked his mirrors but there was no sign of the bike. He did recall seeing the headlight of the bike as he swerved, but the rest of the vehicle seemed to be invisible.
