On London Road in Pyecombe, Sussex, a rather eerie phenomenon has been observed by several motorists. The location, where the A281 meets the A27, seems to be a hotspot for paranormal activity. A woman clad in a pale beige raincoat has been seen running across the dual carriageway, only to disappear halfway across. London Road area, Burgess Hill

Burgess Hill's London Road area has witnessed some pretty unusual phenomena over the years. It's here that a married couple and several other onlookers spotted five circular lights dancing in the sky back in September 1995. These colourful lights twisted and turned, putting on a show for a few minutes before they all synchronised, turned white, and then shot off in different directions. It was quite a spectacle, and one that left onlookers scratching their heads. Fast forward twenty-two years to July 2017, and the strange happenings continued when a witness picked up a strange sound, like TV white noise, coming from the sky. This aerial audio anomaly lasted around 20 minutes, leaving many to wonder if there was more to this spot than meets the eye.

Royal George Road, Burgess Hill

On Royal George Road in Burgess Hill, a rather unusual sighting took place in the mid 1990s. A male witness was outside when he heard the sound of aircraft engines and looked up to see a 737 aircraft briefly appear in a gap in the clouds. What happened next was even more extraordinary. The 737 was closely followed by another craft that was twice its size and had a distinctive boomerang shape with squared wing tips. This larger craft was dark grey or black in colour and left the witness wondering if he had really seen what he thought he had.
