Hatton Locks, a series of staircase locks on the Grand Union Canal, is home to a rather intriguing ghost story. On a dark evening in September, 1982 or 1983, a driver and his passenger were driving along the A4177 near Hatton Village Hall when they spotted a ghostly figure standing on the side of the road. On 23 October and 23 December 1642, a bloody battle of the English Civil War took place here and it is said that the fighting repeated itself for several successive nights in 1642, in front of dozens of witnesses. Although the visuals of the battle are not forthcoming in recent times, the sounds of battle have been reported, particularly on 23 October. It's as if the site still resonates with the intense emotions and chaos of that fateful day.

Haseley village is home to a quaint old church where a rather eerie sighting has been reported several times. Locals claim to have seen a woman in a robe crossing the nearby road with total disregard for oncoming traffic. This ghostly apparition seems to appear out of thin air, leaving witnesses in a state of bewilderment.
