Birmingham Eye Centre Ghost

Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre, Birmingham, Westmidlands Apparition Modern

The Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre, situated within the City Hospital in Birmingham, has been the site of some rather unusual occurrences. During its construction in 1996, CCTV cameras captured a strange grey figure, but when security personnel were dispatched to investigate, they found no one. This eerie apparition wasnt the only odd event to plague the centre. A ward sister was seen in a top floor corridor, but only from the knees upwards. It was as if she vanished into thin air. These bizarre happenings left many wondering if the centre was indeed haunted.

Further adding to the centres reputation for paranormal activity, a crew of workers once found themselves locked in a room after hearing cries coming from within. Just like before, they couldnt find anything out of the ordinary. It wasnt until a priest was called in to bless the area that the strange events seemed to subside. The fact that these events all happened during the construction phase of the centre suggests that perhaps the building was a focal point for restless spirits. The identity of the grey figure and the ward sister remains a mystery, but their presence has become an integral part of the centres ghost story.

Historical Context

The Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre is a relatively modern building, constructed in the 1990s as part of the City Hospital complex.

This eviction allegedly paved the way for the construction of the stadium, but it seems the gypsies didn't go quietly into the night. A local legend claims that their vengeful energy has been manifesting as a curse, bringing bad luck to the team and its players. While there's no concrete evidence to support this claim, it's undeniable that St Andrews has had its fair share of misfortunes over the years.
