However, the woman wasn't as dead as everyone thought - she was merely in a coma. As the sexton made his escape, she suddenly woke up, and he screamed and ran off, leaving her to make her way back home. Now, her ghost is said to haunt the manor house, blood spurting from her stumpy fingers.
