The Grey Man of Malmesbury
Burton Hill, Malmesbury
Burton Hill in Malmesbury is a spot where the ordinary and the unexplained collide. It's a place where the fabric of reality seems to have a loose thread, and on one fateful morning in January 1967, a driver got a glimpse of what lies beyond. As the driver was cruising down the A429 at 6 am, a man clad in grey coveralls suddenly materialised in the middle of the road. The driver slammed on the brakes, but it was too late; the car couldn't stop in time. The figure turned towards the driver, its face a pale white, and raised its arm before vanishing into thin air. This fleeting encounter left the driver shaken and wondering if it had all been a product of their imagination.
