Wood End Road, Cranfield

Wood End Road in Cranfield is home to a rather gruesome and intriguing haunting. Lady Snagge, a local noblewoman, met her untimely demise here many years ago. While riding her horse, she was brutally decapitated by a thin piece of rope pulled across the road by robbers. They didn't stop at that; they also plundered her body, leaving her lifeless and headless on the ground. It's said that Snagge's ghost still rides these roads, sometimes with her head intact and sometimes without, reliving her final terrifying moments.

Roundhouse, Brogborough

The Brogborough Roundhouse, a crumbling relic on the outskirts of Bedfordshire, has gained a spooky reputation over the years. This ruined site, once a hub of industrial activity, is now said to be haunted by mischievous spirits. Members of the Luton Paranormal Society claim to have detected paranormal activity on the premises, including sightings of ghostly apparitions and unexplained occurrences. It's little wonder, given its abandoned state, that the Roundhouse has become a hotbed of poltergeist-like activity.

Buttercup Lane, Cranfield

Buttercup Lane in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, is home to a rather bizarre and unexplained phenomenon. In 1969, two men were walking along this very lane when they witnessed something that would stay with them for a lifetime. A legless and armless shape, wearing a large hat, drifted along in front of them. This strange entity stood at just over two metres tall and changed colour from white to black right before their eyes. The men's encounter with this ghostly figure has left us with more questions than answers, and it's a story that continues to fascinate paranormal enthusiasts to this day.

Gypsy Lane, Aspley Guise

Gypsy Lane in Aspley Guise is a rural road with a dark history. On a September evening in 2008 a runner was making his way along this stretch when he spotted a dark figure about 100 metres ahead. As he drew closer the figure simply vanished into thin air. The witness was left shaken by the encounter. Interestingly a friend of the witness claimed his uncle had previously seen a phantom woman in the same area suggesting a possible connection between the two sightings.

Black Horse Public House, Dunstable

The Black Horse Public House in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, has a rather unsettling reputation thanks to a reported sighting of a headless man. A barmaid was left disturbed after encountering this decapitated figure, who was dressed in a Civil War uniform, in the bar area. The fact that the pub is no longer operational only adds to the eerie atmosphere surrounding this paranormal event. It's said that the barmaid was quite shaken by the experience, which has contributed to the pub's haunted reputation.

The Inn Inn, Woburn

The Inn Inn in Woburn is home to a rather intriguing pair of ghostly residents. A misty white lady is said to roam the premises, accompanied by a more substantial phantom - a gentleman who likes to sit by the fireplace, puffing on a pipe, with a tiny spectral dog by his side. It's a curious thing, this duo of hauntings, and one that has captured the imagination of many a paranormal enthusiast.
