Tewkesbury Museum, Tewkesbury

Tewkesbury Museum on Barton Street is home to a rather unusual ghost story. In July 2007 staff members reported detecting the smell of old-fashioned washing powder and feeling a presence in the building. The Three Counties Paranormal Organisation was called in to investigate further. It seems that the phantom might be connected to a woman who looked after evacuees during the Second World War. The exact nature of her connection to the museum is unclear but her presence is certainly making herself known.
