Bush Theatre, SE13

The Bush Theatre in Shepherd's Bush has a long history of entertaining audiences, but it's also home to a rather famous ghost. Dylan Thomas, the renowned Welsh poet and playwright, was known to frequent this very theatre, enjoying a drink or two and some lively company. As a former BBC worker, Thomas was no stranger to the world of entertainment, and it's said that his spirit still roams these halls, perhaps reliving old times or inspiring new generations of performers.

Holland Park, W8

Holland Park in London's W8 is home to a rather disgruntled ghost. The story goes that the Earl of Holland was executed by General Fairfax, and as a thank you for his troubles, Fairfax was given the building that now stands within the park. The Earl wasn't exactly thrilled with this arrangement, and his spirit has been protesting the injustice ever since. They say his ghostly presence is a manifestation of his continued discontent.

Uxbridge Road, W5

On a summer evening in July 2006, five office workers in Uxbridge Road, Ealing, witnessed a bizarre and intriguing sighting. As they gazed out at the sky, a triangular object with burning corners moved swiftly from north to south, its brief appearance leaving a lasting impression. The object's high speed and fleeting presence made it difficult to discern any further details, but its impact on the witnesses was undeniable.

Old Fire Station on Broadway, E15

The Old Fire Station on Broadway in London's E15 area is said to be haunted by the ghost of Godfrey Netherwood, a man from the late nineteenth century with an interest in paranormal happenings. Staff at the fire station have reported seeing the ghost, who is described as a fireman wearing a brass helmet. It's believed that Netherwood's spirit has now migrated to a new location, the newer station on Romford Road.

36 Blythe Road, W14

Located in the heart of London, 36 Blythe Road was once the site of a dramatic and intriguing confrontation between two of the most influential occultists of the 20th century. On 19 April 1900, W B Yeats faced off against Aleister Crowley in this very building, which was then a temple of the Golden Dawn society. Crowley, dressed in a kilt and wearing a black mask of Osiris, brandished a dagger and began reciting spells, prompting Yeats to take action.

Holy Trinity church, W6

Holy Trinity church in London's Brook Green area has been home to a rather unexpected resident - a ghostly monk. It was here, back in the late 19th century, that Father White and his staff began spotting a phantom monk wandering into the church. On more than one occasion, the Father himself claimed to have seen this apparition, which was also witnessed by his servant and curates. The fact that multiple people reported seeing this ghostly figure lends credibility to the sightings, leaving us to wonder what this monk might be doing here.
