Broad Haven UFO Landing

Broad Haven County Primary School, Broad Haven, Mid Glamorgan UFO Late 20th Century

Broad Haven County Primary School was the unlikely setting for one of the most remarkable UFO sightings in British history. It was here, in February 1977, that fourteen pupils claimed to have seen a large disc land near the school. But that wasnt the only extraordinary part of the encounter - some of the children also reported seeing men with pointed ears and dressed in silver clothing climb out of the craft. This wasnt a one-off sighting either; for several months after the event, people in the area continued to report strange occurrences.

The incident took place at a time when UFO sightings were gaining popularity in the media. While some might dismiss the accounts of schoolchildren, the fact that fourteen pupils all described similar events lends credibility to the story. The descriptions of the beings, with their pointed ears and silver clothing, are particularly intriguing. The continued sightings in the area over the following months suggest that whatever was seen that day might have been part of a larger phenomenon.
