Mountain Ash in Wales is known for its lush green landscapes and rolling hills but on 9 February 1859 it witnessed something truly bizarre. Workers in a local timber yard were busy with their daily tasks when suddenly hundreds of small fish rained down upon them during a downpour. The scene was nothing short of surreal as the fish lay flopping in puddles, still very much alive. The workers quickly filled several buckets with the creatures before they could return to their work, no doubt trying to make sense of this inexplicable event.

Mountain Ash, Aberdare

In the quaint town of Mountain Ash, nestled in the heart of Aberdare, Wales, a bizarre and intriguing incident took place on a stormy day in February 1859, or possibly 1841. The residents of the area, including a Mr Nixon, were left bewildered as live fish began to fall from the sky. The phenomenon was not limited to a single location, as some of the fish were found in the guttering of neighbouring houses. Miraculously, a few of the creatures survived and were kept in freshwater, providing a rare opportunity for people to observe these unexpected visitors up close.

Broad Haven County Primary School, Broad Haven

Broad Haven County Primary School was the unlikely setting for one of the most remarkable UFO sightings in British history. It was here, in February 1977, that fourteen pupils claimed to have seen a large disc land near the school. But that wasnt the only extraordinary part of the encounter - some of the children also reported seeing men with pointed ears and dressed in silver clothing climb out of the craft. This wasnt a one-off sighting either; for several months after the event, people in the area continued to report strange occurrences.

Hill in Machen, Bedwas

High up in the rolling hills of Machen, a strange and terrifying sighting has been reported by a couple travelling between Bedwas and Risca. As they walked along the winding path, they spotted a boy ahead of them, but before their very eyes, he transformed into a ball of fire. The boy had simply put his head between his legs and rolled up the hill as a pillar of flames, leaving the witnesses shaken and bewildered. Later, they came across a burning pillar of fire that scorched the woman's handkerchief, leaving no doubt about the supernatural nature of their encounter.

Morgan Jones Park, Caerphilly

Morgan Jones Park in Caerphilly is home to a rather unsettling sighting. On a night in March 2003, around 00:30 hours, two friends walking home stumbled upon what can only be described as a ghostly family. The pair spotted the silhouettes of a man, woman, and child walking towards them along the same path, about one hundred yards away. As the distance between them narrowed to fifty yards, the family simply faded and vanished into thin air. This eerie encounter left the witnesses with more questions than answers.
