Phantom Wellington Bomber
Over the Cwmbach estate in Aberdare, a rather unusual sighting took place back in 1979. A witness standing outside their home heard the sound of engines but couldnt see anything at first. They stepped inside their doorway but as the sound grew louder, they went back outside to take another look. Thats when they spotted a twin-engine, dark-coloured Wellington bomber flying overhead, described as being as real looking and sounding as any solid aircraft. The witness didnt think much of it at the time, not realising that there were no airworthy Wellington bombers in existence.
Digging into the history of this sighting, its clear that the witness wasnt mistaken about what they saw. The Wellington bomber was a real aircraft, used during World War II. However, by the late 1970s, all of these planes had been retired and none were airworthy. This sighting has been documented as a haunting manifestation, with the witness describing a visual and audio experience that was very convincing. The fact that the witness only realised the significance of what they saw later on adds to the intrigue of this encounter.
The Wellington bomber played a significant role in World War II
