The Road Crosser of Great Milton

Country road, Great Milton, Oxfordshire Cryptozoology Unknown

In the sleepy Oxfordshire village of Great Milton, a strange encounter took place on a country road on April 30, 2008. A woman, who had stopped her car to answer her mobile phone, was startled by a large black cat that crossed the road in front of her. The cat stood an astonishing three feet high and had a long black tail that drooped downwards. The whole sighting lasted for around five seconds, leaving the witness to wonder if she had really seen what she thought she had.

Further investigation into this sighting reveals that the witness was alone at the time and there were no other reported incidents in the area on that day. The description of the cat as being unusually large and with a distinctive tail suggests that this may not have been a ordinary animal. While there is no historical context to suggest that this road is haunted, the fact that the witness was so startled by the encounter suggests that it was an unusual and perhaps unexplained event.
