A driver travelling along an unnamed road in the area spotted a tall man dressed in a soldier's uniform walking along the verge. As the driver slowed down to offer him a lift, the soldier seemed to shimmer and fragment, much like a broken reflection on water, as the vehicle approached. This bizarre incident left the driver with more questions than answers, and it's a story that has been etched in local memory ever since.
