Pretty Girl Ghost

Market Place, Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire Apparition Unknown

Burton upon Trent's Market Place is usually a bustling hub of activity but on this particular occasion it was quiet when two teenage lads witnessed something strange. They watched as a pretty girl walked across the marketplace, glanced and smiled at the boys before suddenly vanishing just a few metres away. The boys were left stunned and confused, wondering if they had just imagined the whole thing.

Unfortunately, there's no record of the exact date or time of this sighting, but it's believed to have occurred at some point in the twentieth century. The fact that two witnesses saw the same thing lends credibility to the account, and it's a story that has likely contributed to the location's reputation for paranormal activity. While there's no concrete evidence to explain what the boys saw, it's clear that their experience left a lasting impression.
